Arrival in Philadelphia, PA
Pick up at the airport – you must arrive between the hours of 10am and 5pm on Saturday the 13th of June. You MUST arrive no later than 5pm. Transfer to accommodations and check in.
(Breakfast and lunch not included on travel days.)
General orientation meeting (mandatory).
6:00pm to 7:30pm
8:30pm - Dinner and a “Get to know you party!” at hotel in Philadelphia. Dinner, and time to meet and greet all students and welcome party to start off our tour
14 / June / 2015 - Sunday - Philadelphia / Washington D.C.
Fort McHenry
Breakfast, check in and depart on our Philadelphia tour.
Philadelphia is the largest city of the state of Pennsylvania and well-known for its historical places.
Our tour will include a visit to Independence Hall - well known as the adoption place for the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. It is also the former home of the Liberty Bell. We’re having lunch during the tour then we will depart for Fort McHenry.
Fort McHenry is a star shaped fort best known for its role when it served to defend U.S. from the attacks of England in 1812. The fort had also been transformed into a military prison and then a hospital. Today it is a national park where thousands of visitors come to see the “Birthplace of the Star Spangled Banner” and exhibitions of American history.
Depart for Washington – Dinner on the way.
Check in, free time to rest.
15 / June / 2015 - Monday - Washington D.C.
Lincoln Memorial
Breakfast, then we will depart to begin exploring Washington D.C. - the capital of the United States and home of the administrative and economic controlling centers of the country.
On our tour we will visit the White House (outside) and famous sights such as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial. We will visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the largest Catholic Church in the U.S. We’ll have lunch during the tour.
We will end our day with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery - the largest burial ground in America with the grave of President John F. Kennedy. You will also visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where you will see the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
Dinner then return to hotel for free time and rest.
16 / June / 2015 - Tuesday - Washington D.C.
Capitol Building
Our tour to the main Government Buildings may include: a tour of the Capitol Building, The Library of Congress - the largest library in the world by shelf space and number of books.
From the Library of Congress we will go to the National Mall - an open-area national park in which anything can take place – from protests to concerts. Free time on the Mall to have lunch and visit one of the many Smithsonian Museums – there are many museums to choose from such as the Air and Space Museum, the American Art Museum, The American History Museum, Freer Gallery of Art, the Natural History Museum and many, many more. Please go to www.si.edu/Museums to plan your afternoon with the museums that will interest you most.
Dinner at the amazing Hard Rock Café Washington D.C. and if time permits we may visit some of the memorials we may have missed during the day.
Return to the hotel for free time and rest.
17 / June / 2015 - Wednesday - Washington D.C. / Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls
Breakfast then depart Washington D.C. for Niagara Falls – lunch on the road. The drive is long and we will stop to break up the day along the way. Dinner in Buffalo then check into hotel. Free time and time to rest.
18 / June / 2015 - Thursday - Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls
Breakfast and visit to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is considered to be the natural symbol of Buffalo. Once there, we will take a ride on the Maid of the Mist – the traditional boat that takes tourists closer to the grandeur of the Falls. We’ll also have time to shop for souvenirs and to explore Niagara Falls State Park with all its attractions such as aquariums, trails and restaurants. Lunch will be in the park.
Return to hotel, dinner and free time to rest.
19 / June / 2015 - Friday - Niagara Falls / Albany / Boston
Breakfast, check out and depart to Boston. We’ll make a quick stop on the way for lunch and some time out in Albany for a tour of the Capitol Building.
Albany is the capital city of the state of New York and lives upon the tradition of being an urban and hectic city influenced by surrounded centers of New York City, Montreal and Buffalo.
At appropriate hour we will have dinner and depart to our hotel near Boston.
Boston is the capital of the state of Massachusetts and is recognized for its architecture and passion for sports especially when it comes to baseball.
Arrival at hotel, check in, free time to relax and rest.
20 / June / 2015 - Saturday - Six Flags New England / Boston
Six Flags New England
Breakfast and then depart for Six Flags New England.
You will enjoy many thrill rides such as BATMAN: The Dark Knight, Bizarro, Bonzai Pipelines, Scream, Thunderbolt and many more or relax at the Hurricane Harbor Water Park. Enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants in the park while we enjoy our day of fun!
Depart Six Flags New England for dinner in Boston at Faneuil Hall then some free time to wander around and shop at the many stores located in Faneuil Hall.
Return to hotel for relaxation and rest.
21 / June / 2015 - Sunday - Boston
Boston Duck Tour
Breakfast and depart for our walking tour of Harvard and Boston. Our first stop will be a morning walking tour of Harvard on our own. After you will have some free time to shop in Cambridge then we will meet at Zoe’s for lunch.
After lunch we will continue to Boston for an unforgettable ride aboard a Boston Duck. The Boston Duck is a W.W. II style amphibious landing vehicle that goes from the land to the water in seconds. Check it out here: www.bostonducktours.com/
We may also take a walking tour along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5 mile trail on a brick-lined route. You will come across 16 historically significant sites on this walking tour and get to know Boston up close. Or you may choose to get to know Boston on your own with some free time to explore the city.
We will all meet for dinner then return to hotel to relax and rest.
22 / June / 2015 - Monday - Boston / New York
United Nations Headquarters
Breakfast early check out and depart to New York, NY. If time allows on the way we will stop off in New Haven for lunch and a quick visit of Yale University. Depart New Haven to continue to NYC.
We will arrive in the city known as ‘The Big Apple”. New York City is the most populous city in the U.S. and considered one of the world’s most famous cities. From museums to parks, from outside activities to restaurants, shopping on it’s many stores – New York City has it all!
Arrival in NYC - Our tour will include a stop at the headquarters of the United Nations complex. Late afternoon will be free to explore the green side of Manhattan – Central Park. Central Park is 843 acres of green space in Manhattan and is surrounded by skyscrapers, buildings and the hustle and bustle of NYC, it is the New Yorker’s escape from their hectic life. Here’s a place in which you can either sit and relax or get into a horse carriage and ride. There is so much to see and do in Central Park there is even a zoo!
We will meet for dinner at Columbus Circle at Whole Foods then depart for hotel, arrive at the hotel, check in and time to rest.
23 / June / 2015 - Tuesday - New York
Statue of Liberty
Breakfast and depart to visit New York. Our tour will include – an architectural masterpiece – the symbol of New York City, the one and only Statue of Liberty – the monumental sculpture given by the French in the year of 1886. She is still standing tall to represent freedom and democracy. We’ll have lunch on the island.
After lunch we will take the ferry to New York City where you will have free time to visit the south of Manhattan; known as Lower Manhattan. This part of the island is where the financial and commercial buildings are concentrated. It also has fancy neighborhoods such as SoHo and ethnic areas such as Little Italy and Chinatown.
We will meet up at the 911 Memorial to honor all those that lost their lives on that horrific day.
After our visit to the 911 memorial we will go to dinner in China Town, there will be some free time for a little shopping then back on the bus to Brooklyn.
After our stop in Brooklyn we will return to the hotel for relaxation and rest.
24 / June / 2015 - Wednesday - New York
Limo Tour
Our day will start with up high with a stop at the Top of The Rock Observation deck located in midtown Manhattan at Rockefeller Center. From the deck you will be able to see the amazing views of New York City and beyond! You will then have some free time before we meet up for our Broadway Show!
After our Broadway Show we will meet for dinner at Sbarro’s near Times Square.
After dinner you will be picked up by a limo for a driving tour of NYC in style! You will drive through the streets of NYC to view the cities night life. We will all meet at Bryant Park to take our bus back to the hotel.
Return to the hotel for relaxation and rest.
25 / June / 2015 - Thursday - New York / Seaside Heights
Breakfast – Early check out and continue onto Seaside Heights for a relaxing day at the beach.
This city became more famous due to the show Jersey Shore. Besides having an amazing beach on the coast of New Jersey, Seaside Heights also offers an incredible Boardwalk with several attractions. During the summer there are also many wheels of chance where prizes range from small stuffed animals to TV's, bicycles, and scooters.
We will spend the evening on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights where we will have dinner and our talent show. Be prepared to show off your talent to the entire group.
Return to the hotel, dinner and free time to rest.
26 / June / 2015 - Friday - Seaside Heights / Philadelphia
Depart to Philadelphia. We will tour the historical building of the Philadelphia City Hall; it is the seat of government for the city of Philadelphia. Lunch at Olive Garden then free time to wander Historic Philadelphia.
We will go to our hotel – check in, and get ready for our goodbye party.
Goodbye dinner and party – 8:00pm to Midnight.
27 / June / 2015 - Saturday - Philadelphia / Return Home
Going home
Depart for home – must depart prior to 2pm on Saturday the 27th of June.
